Awakened True Power Super Saiyan Gohan (Youth), also colloquially known as AGL LR Gohan, is an extremely versatile unit. As of writing, he is on thirteen (13) categories, fitting well and having good linking partners on each team. His art is pulled from the iconic scene where Gohan first goes Super Saiyan 2.
This unit is a transforming unit, going Super Saiyan 2 when the requirements are met. AGL LR Gohan was a very controversial unit at the time of his release because of his transformation requirements. AGL LR Gohan can only transform under one of two conditions:
- HP is 58% or less and there is an “Android #16” on the team.
- HP is 58% or less with an existing “Androids” category enemy or ally starting from the 5th turn from the start of the battle.
The transformation is an active skill, and so it can be foregone if desired. Due to the very difficult transformation requirements, this unit was expected to be DOA, but it was quickly discovered that AGL LR Gohan is a beast, even without having to transform.
What makes this unit so good is his categories, his passive, and his super attack effect. Pre-transformation, Gohan infinitely stacks defense on his Ultra Super Attack and Super Attack. This makes him an unstoppable tank. His passive. also gives him an additional 100% attack and defense right away, and another 1 Ki and 10% attack and defense per turn (up to +5 Ki and +70% attack and defense). This means he gets stronger every turn.
Post-transformation, he only raises defense for one turn on Super Attack and attack and defense for one turn on Ultra Super Attack, but he keeps all of his stacks from pre-transformation. So what makes his transformed state so good? His passive. He receives 20% attack, 7% defense, and an additional 1 Ki per Ki orb collected, Randomly changes one type of Ki sphere to rainbow, launches an additional Super Attack when facing multiple enemies, and gains an additional 59% attack on Ultra Super Attack when there is a Super Saiyan Goku attacking in the same turn.

Although this unit was expected to be DOA, due to Awakened True Power Super Saiyan 2 Gohan (Youth)’s immense power pre-transformation, he had proved to be one of the best units in the game, and definitely one of the most versatile units, even a full year after release.
